Clothing
The dress code on Roatan is casual, but for those slightly cooler nights or eating out at one of Roatan’s gourmet restaurants you may want to bring something a little smarter. Everyday wear includes: shorts and T-shirts, bathing suits of choice and lots of sun cream. The sun is intense, so lightweight trousers and shirts are recommended. Lightweight flip-flops or sandals are perfect for everyday use but if you’re planning on taking part in some of our exploration adventures, then something slightly more robust will be needed.
Buying
There are many small shops called ‘pulparias’ that will have the bare necessities. If you need more choice then Roatan has two shopping stores, one located in Coxen Hole and the other in French Harbor . They both offer a wide variety of products.
Restuarants
Roatan has had a colorful array of people come and visit and then stay, providing the current travelers with cuisine from many different parts of the world. From Thai, with authentic products imported on a regular basis to Beef Jerky, made on the island.
